Mark your calendars for Open Swim at the Lincoln Park Middle School p
ool this summer. Running daily Monday through Thursday, Summer Open Swim will begin on Monday June 12th and go through Thursday July 20th. The cost is $4.00 per person.

There are also reasonably priced swim lessons with a discount available for free or reduced lunch recipients. Go to www.lsscaquatics.com for more information.


Flag Football is a non-contact sport, which teaches boys and girls in grades 2 through 5 the fundamentals of football, sportsmanship, and how to have fun while participating in sports. Games will be played mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All games are played at the Wheeler Softball Field Complex at 3501 Grand Avenue.  Click here for more info and registration.


Local soccer leagues are
open to boys and girls from ages 3 to adult.  Here's some soccer sites for students at Piedmont to consider:
Piedmont Soccer, a recreational league for ages 5-13.
West Duluth Soccer, a recreational league for ages 5-13.
Net Busters Soccer, for 3 and 4 year old preschoolers just starting out.
Gitchi Gummi Soccer, a more competitive tournament and league team environment for 8-17 year-olds, focusing on skill building, sportsmanship, and teamwork.  Gitchi Gummi also provides a local, non-league skills programs for younger ages and those who want to learn soccer skills, 4-10.


Hartley Nature Center is dedicated to inspiring life-long connections to nature through education, play and exploration.  Spots are still available.  Click Hartleynature.org for info.

Join the boys and girls club!  After school busing is available to each site, either the Heritage Center (Goldberg) branch or their Lincoln Park branch. Open for the summer too, they feature computer labs, homework help, gym space, hang-out centers, art rooms, games rooms, and more at each site!
